Human Inhabiting Mars? Could it be?

Mars is the planet closest to the Earth. Many scientists are trying to examine the state of the planet Mars is, whether it can be inhabited by humans? Early this February, a number of researchers from Imperial College London, UK gave a statement that the surface of Mars is quite impossible to be human settlements.

Because the red planet has been completely arid during the last 600 million years and is very difficult for life to be able to survive on its surface.

Studies on this has already started in 2008 by sending Phoenix to collect data on Mars. Phoenix task that analyze ice and soil that he collected.

Oddly enough, though found any pieces of ice on the planet, in fact, the results of research on soil samples taken showed that the red planet has been arid for hundreds of millions of years.

Human Inhabiting Mars? Could it be?

In previous studies, it is estimated that Mars is likely to be warmer and wetter in the past. But if so, the conditions are in the range of 3 billion years ago.

"We found that although many found ice on Mars, the planet has experienced exceptional drought which may have been going on for hundreds of millions of years," said Tom Pike, head of the research team, quoted from Mad Shrimps (8/02/2012).

There is still hope?

However, Pike said, he and his team estimate that Mars we know today is very different from Mars in the past. "The mission of NASA and ESA in the future will do some digging deeper to find out more about the chances of life underground," he said.

Exploration of Mars is not yet finished, there are still many mysteries waiting to be solved. Moreover, there are other findings such as the path of the river, twin craters, territories 'blue' and many assumptions about the existence of aliens.

Somehow, slowly science continues to seek out. At least, we can realize how little humans in the universe.
